Mr. Scribbles is taking his new exercise regime very seriously. His favourite is Cat Pilates which I have to say he does better than his owner. x

My how Kings Cross has changed / is changing. I remember working along York Way (way back when – not that kind of ‘work’ !) and all there was for lunch was un-inspiring selections form the station, greasy cafes or dubious ‘health’ shops that were not all they seemed? Now I am wishing on platform nine and a half to take me back again. Love the canal walk and what was the garage opposite to my old head office and now is The Filling Station; lovely and welcoming staff and hangover mexican style brunch. It filled me up enough to continue along the canal to Shoreditch.

This summer it’s been pretty hot travelling on the tube and in sympathy my cat (AKA Mr.Scribbs) has been doing his own version, albeit with the laundry basket. He’s pictured here currently waiting for the socks, pants and trouser line.

There is nothing I like more than going to The Haberdashery in Crouch End on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Not only do they serve tea in vintage cups and delicious bites with mix matched cutlery but I am not alone in being a huge fan as it’s won loads of awards. Check out the new back garden area with beach hut section if the skies should open up and the events calendar for some true cafe culture.
